Written by Nagmeldeen Morshed Hamza | July 16, 2025

This research focuses and discusses two case studies of the Khanjar dagger (Arabic: خنجر), specifically of the Jambiya type (Arabic: جَنْبِيَّة), from the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) collection. The objects are registered under the museum collection numbers RAK 430 and RAK 11584 (Figure 1). They have been kept in the museum storage until they were presented to receive investigation, restoration, and conservation treatment in preparation for future display in the museum gallery for the first time.
