This study explores the role of public spaces in fostering social sustainability in Ras Al Khaimah, focusing on three key sites identified through user surveys. Social sustainability, defined as creating environments that promote community well-being, inclusivity, and resilience, is essential for livable urban futures. The findings reveal gaps between planning intentions and community needs, highlighting the importance of participatory governance. Key recommendations include community-driven design, inclusive frameworks, and strategic partnerships. These proposals aim to transform public spaces into hubs for social sustainability, fostering resilient communities through collaborative models.
